SAFETY

Safety First, Always

Safety First, Always

At Skydive Thailand, safety isn't just a priority—it's the foundation of everything we do. From tandem jumps to student training and licensed skydiving, we follow the highest international standards and implement industry-best practices at every stage of your skydiving experience.

Instructional Standards & Licensing

We are a USPA-affiliated dropzone and strictly follow the USPA Basic Safety Requirements (BSRs) and operate in full compliance with international skydiving regulations.

Our tandem instructors and AFF staff have completed thousands of jumps and hold current USPA or equivalent instructional ratings. Each team member undergoes regular evaluations and training updates to ensure they meet and exceed global safety standards.

Modern Equipment

We use only state-of-the-art gear from the most trusted names in skydiving, including:

  • UPT Sigma tandem systems – the gold standard in tandem skydiving gear
  • Student rigs equipped with AADs and MARD systems
  • Main and reserve canopies that are professionally maintained and tracked
  • Full-time riggers on site to inspect, maintain, and repack equipment according to manufacturer guidelines

All parachute systems owned by Skydive Thailand are routinely inspected and reserves are repacked within the 180-day cycle, even if unused.

Automatic Activation Devices (AADs)

Every rig - tandem, student, or sport - must have a functioning AAD, such as a CYPRES. These devices automatically deploy the reserve parachute if a skydiver is still in freefall at a certain altitude without deploying.

Weather & Airspace

We jump only in favorable conditions, using strict weather parameters for wind, cloud cover, and visibility. All operations are performed in airspace allocated specifically for our skydiving activities, allowing maximum flexibility while avoiding commercial traffic. The dedicated, obstacle-free landing area is large, well-marked, and supervised by ground staff.

Emergency Response Preparedness

We are fully equipped with first aid kits, spine boards, and AEDs on site. Most staff are trained in first response procedures, and our location ensures fast access to emergency medical services if needed.

Zero Tolerance for Unsafe Behavior

All jumpers must adhere to our strict safety protocols. Alcohol, drug use, or reckless behavior are grounds for removal from the dropzone. We maintain a culture of accountability and mutual respect among all staff and skydivers.

Safety Is a Culture

At Skydive Thailand, safety is more than checklists and gear - it's the mindset we bring to every day at the dropzone. We promote continuous learning, encourage feedback, and support every jumper's growth through coaching, currency refreshers, and progression programs.
